Damien Buntsma

Mr. Buntsma was born and raised in Oshawa and moved to Sudbury in 2008.  During law school, Mr. Buntsma worked for the Department of Justice: Competition Law Division and articled in Toronto, specializing in Labour Law and spending over a year working within the national in-house legal department of the country’s largest private-sector union.  During his time in law school, Mr. Buntsma was chosen as one of two representatives of the University of Ottawa to compete within the Mathews Dinsdale Canadian Labour Arbitration Competition.  Prior to attending law school, Mr. Buntsma worked within the auto industry.  Mr. Buntsma’s unique background and legal education have allowed him to gain considerable insight into dealing with many of the issues facing employers within large unionized workplaces in addition to understanding the concerns of non-unionized employers.
